History
Strait Area Physiotherapy initially opened its Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia location in 1996. Due to local demand the business expanded to a second location in Antigonish in 1998. Over the next 10 years the business has expanded the services offered and progressed from a physiotherapy clinic to a multidisciplinary rehabilitation facility. As a full service provider, treatment is available through multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs for person's who have suffered musculoskeletal injuries due to motor vehicle, industrial or sports accidents as well as those patients suffering from pain and dysfunction due to acute or chronic conditions or disease. Our healthcare professionals include; physiotherapists, occupational therapists, massage therapists, kinesiologists and psychologist.
Environment
A commitment to providing services to meet the demands of the community, Strait Area Physiotherapy has undergone expansions to new locations in both Port Hawkesbury and Antigonish. Our locations offer spacious exercise facilities, private examination rooms, conference area, wheelchair accessible, open and curtained treatment spaces. The healthcare team at Strait Area Physiotherapy is committed to providing proven, effective treatments to restore individuals to their pre-injury level of functioning.

Strait Area Physiotherapy & Reconditioning Ltd is a private practice facility. Funding for service are covered under Extended Health Benefit plans, Workers’ Compensation, Motor Vehicle Insurance, Long Term Disability Benefits and occasional through Social Service or Employers.
